Summary: Minimal data collection
This website collects minimal data. The main tools work entirely in your browser with no data sent anywhere. The optional Request a Test form processes limited data as described below — but we never collect health results or use data for marketing.
What we do NOT collect
- Your blood test results or health information
- Your IP address for identification
- Cookies or tracking identifiers
- Personal or behavioural data that identifies you
What we DO provide
- Static educational content served directly to your browser
- Tools that run entirely on your device
- No user accounts or login required
- Privacy-focused analytics only (see Website Analytics below)
How the tools work
The Blood Test Explainer tools are static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. When you visit the site:
- The files are downloaded to your browser
- All interactions happen locally on your device
- No data is sent back to any server
- The tools work offline after the initial page load
Hosting
This website is hosted on Vercel. Like all web hosts, Vercel may process standard server logs (including IP addresses and access times) as part of their infrastructure. We do not access or use these logs to identify individuals. For more information, see Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Website Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how our sites are used. This is a privacy-focused analytics service that:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not collect your IP address
- Does not track individual visitors
- Does not collect personal information
We only see aggregated, anonymous data such as total page views, which pages are popular, referring websites, and general geographic regions (country level). We cannot identify individual visitors. See Vercel Analytics Privacy for details.
Third-party links
This site links to external resources such as NHS websites. These external sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
Request a Test form
The "Request a Test" page allows you to suggest blood tests for us to add. This form collects:
- Test name (required) — the test you'd like explained
- Context (optional) — why you need this test explained
- Email (optional) — only if you'd like to be notified when the test is added
This data is sent to our secure workflow system (n8n) and stored only for the purpose of reviewing requests. We do not use your email for marketing. You can request deletion by contacting us.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for general adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page. Given that we collect no data, significant changes are unlikely.
